Im trying to make a dvd out of a widescreen avi file (xvid encoded). The file burns fine except that instead of being in its original widescreen format, its in 4:3. When i check the properties of the file in Roxio it says 640 x 272 which seems right, but in the preview playback it plays stretched out and when i make the ISO (Instead of wasting a disc to test it) and mount it, it plays stretched out in media player. This is a problem because it has subtitles, and when i burn it on a disc to watch on my tv the subtitles will be cut off, plus it looks horrible.

And while im talking about roxio, does anyone know how to get it to create dvds that are TV safe? As of now i have to convert everything in tmpgenc to get black boarders so im not missing half the picture on a tv.
