I'm trying to back up an image that a-ray identifies as a safedisc 2/3 protection.

What emulation options do I need to use with alcohol 120%?

I burned a coaster using these settings in the options menu:

check on Ignore Media Type
check on Launch "cd\dvd manager" without ignore
function
check on RMPS
check on BAD sectors emulation

In the burning wizard I had these options:

check on Enable Buffer Underrun Technology
check off Don't close last session
check off Rectify Sub-Channel Data
check off Burn RMPS

What if the drive doesn't say "needs emulation" and it still doesn't play. I tried your guide and all other possible combinations, but it still doesn't work.

When I burn the disc with Alcohol 120%, or mount the image to alcohol's virtual device it doesn't work. However, when I mount the image with Daemon Tools, it does work. Why is this?

Got it to work. I'm not sure why this worked, but I tried burning the image with clone cd. That didn't work, but then I selected the 'hide cdr media' option in the clone cd tray and it worked.

Still not sure why alcohol didn't work.

sorry for not responding -stops- been dogging it lately but clonecd blacklist games so I bet you had a perfect image made with AL12% and clonecd was interfearing with this.

I aslo bet if you uninstalled clonecd and tried making the image again with AL12% everything would come out perfect.

but everyhting worked the way you have it then leave it the way it is.

BTW -camstuf- thats a really good guide :)

no problem geestar...actually I never had clonecd installed originally. When I was fed up of having no luck with alcohol, I downloaded clonecd, and that was the program that actually burned the working disc.

@ joe000

If I see those two sites or any other warez sites in your sig again you'll be history got it?

And for the record you've no idea what you're talking about so instead of confusing folks with your erroneous information just keep it to yourself.
