Wut is wrong with my Ps2. it says disk read error when i put a PS game in my PS2. i tried putting tape on the disk a few months ago and it worked. now even if i put tape on it it makes a scatching sound and says disk read error

As already mentioned more information would be very userful. However, if you have a modchip, most of them must be disabled for PS1 games. That is the case with mine, and i just hold the reset button for the time specified in the instructions.
