Download copies of DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" (copy) the dvd to your hard drive. Use DVD Shrink to back it up (copy it) to the dvd burner.

Check out the flash tutorials on DVD Shrink at www.dvdshrink.info. They are short, sweet, and very informative.

So you paid $20 for a program before asking how to backup your DVDs? Yes these forums are helpful, but I would recommend asking before doing, especially if you're new to the subject.

I tried to find some information about the 1-Click DVD To MPEG software, and I didn't find much. What kind of MPEG files does it create, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, or (less likely) MPEG-4? Also, I don't know if it really makes sense to create huge MPEG files on your hard drive. In my opinion, the best way to backup a DVD is to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (both are completely free) and then write to a DVD-R or DVD+R that can play in just about any DVD player. If you don't have a DVD burner, I would use Auto Gordian Knot to create AVI files that have great quality for the file size (much better than MPG files). I believe that the reason it can't read the DVD is because it is copy-protected, so no matter what you'll need DVD Decrypter or AnyDVD before you can open anything with your 1-Click program.

Just a guess but it's probably why the company she got the program from won't answer her either. They don't want to held liable for anything.

We are the Borg...
Resistance is futile....
DVD's will be assimilated...
Protection is irrelevant.
