When one is looking at cpu/mobo/ram reviews, benchmarks are often made to include direct3d performance as well as video encoding, etc... Which benchmark most closely approximates the demands of ffdshow? If I am using ffdshow with vmr9, I would imagine the 3d rendering benchmark closest. And then one has the question of what impact the video card has. But to stick to the point, how do i best compare hardware for ffdshow performance? We are doing more than rendering with ffdshow, no? After all, isnt all this video massaging like video encoding?
