please help! I have tried just about every bit of advice and I still get the "Failed to initialize ASPI device" error when I try to open disc. Nothing seems to work. I was very happy using shrink and burning with decrypter....then i installed Nero 6.0 and all hell broke loose..I have win xp...H e L P !

Not sure but based on what you listed I would go back to an earlier version of Nero.

check with Nero info tool,have a look at aspi layer status,make sure system aspi is selected
