Ok just a quick question would a xbox dvd-rom drive work in a pc? If so wouldnt you be able to get a replacement drive and put it into a pc so that you could read the xbox discs so you could make a backup without doing all that ftp stuff?

Its probably a silly question but i was just curious

This has been asked many times before, and I believe the answer was no because of various reasons. One i believe was that the driver for the xbox dvd drive is in the bios or something like that.

Secondly, if you were to put it in your pc, it would still take just as long for you to copy the files because you would have to copy them from the disc, so it's probably not worth the trouble :)
