PSTwo won't read disk

I have a PSTwo modded and it worked for a long time, but now it won't read a disk. It doesn't matter what kind of disk it is it won't read, burnt or original PS1 and PS2. It does go to the browser, so i'm thinking it's the laser ,but i'm not sure. It sounds like it's trying to read the disk and makes some pretty weird noises.

Help Please.

Did you get one of the first pstwo's right when they came out? It seemed to have a lot of laser issues with them.

Yeah, the day it was released. I think I'll buy a new one and put in my magic kx and an fxii. I hope that will work.
