soes dvd rw media work or just - or + if so what brand rw do i get and -rw or +rw

From what I understand the PS2's don't really work with RW media. And the compatability with +,- media depends on what version PS2 you have.

DVD-R are compatible with all PS2's. DVD+R are for versions 5 and up.
