Convert AVI to VOB - EASY

I'm a newbie so I can't post to the long threads, but I've been trying many ways to convert my dowloaded movies to VOB to burn to DVDs. I found an obscure but EASY program - DVDSanta. You can encode and burn without doing 2 conversions (like TMPGEnc and then TMPGEn DVD Author). It's FABULOUS and CHEAP!!!

I have to agree; bbmayo, however it's even cheaper if you, just download the {free} conversion tool, and then
use, the [free shink/nero] tools.

What is the free conversion tool? I have Nero 6 Ultra updated and the encoder doesn't accept AVI files.

How do you convert one after another or more than one at a time, like, say, how do i set my files to all convert, then go to sleep.
