I am sure this has been answered before but the only answer I have been ablke to find here doesnt seem to work. I am converting AVI's to DVD format using WinAVI Video Converter, then burning the DVD using Nero STartSmart. The process seems to go without a hitch, but when playing the dvd back on my home player it like freezes for a second. I have tried several different kinds of blank media and it does this with all. If anyone knows how to fix this or a link wherre I can get the info to fix it it would be greatly appreciated

Well, first you need to know what the problem is before you can fix it.

It sounds like crc read errors, but could be something else. So you need to rule that out first. Get dvdinfopro and do a scan for crc read errors. If there are none, then it is likely a problem with the AVI to dvd conversion process.

Ok, I got the DVDINFOPRO and am completely lost. I could not find anything that resembled "check for crc read errors" Is it the "Read burn info from DVD-R/W"

DISREGARD...I found it and am running it now

You said it freezes in your home player.. What about your DVD ROM in your PC?

Its not the speed if they play fine on other players or your DVD ROM. It is the media you need to find a bran that is compatable with your PS2.. Try what Rotary suggested
