Hi, i recently ordered the smartxx lt opx and the SmartXX LPC REBUILD chip...... is it required to rebuild the lpc? i look at the installation manual(for the v1.6)at smartxx.com but it didnt mention anything about installing the lpc rebuild chip.

No, you don't need the LPC rebuild. Smartxx LT OPX mounts on the v1.6 xbox motherboard directly with all the points line up correctly. Remove the pinheader from the Smartxx LT OPX chip to use this feature. This is a quick-solder install. Highly recommended for v1.6.
