I can do pretty well burning dvd movies from originals using the preset parameters of the programs, but would like to dive in further and learn what makes up a dvd movie. I keep hearing people re-authoring dvd's and I assume that means that you insert or leave out certain files. Is there anywhere that I can read up on the various parts of a movie, such as vob or ifo, etc. Until I learn what each part does, I will not go much further in this hobby.

The basic information you want can be found off the glossary tab at the page top. Then if you need more info just do a google search for each one.
