last resort plz help!

ok, ive been on this site for house and tried everything. I have a V551 phone and mpt 3.19. i installed the modem, i got the p2k drivers, tried installing the modem with those drivers and still nothing works. when i general setup and choose my motorola usb modem, i ckick next it tries to detect it, but it says "not accessable or in use by another program". so i click next and and choose my phone. Usually afterwards, all the icons will light up on the right for a second and then grey out again. then it just goes back to saying "mobile not detected". in the changing modem option ive tried clicking other device and clicking next to try to do it that way, and still to no avail. ive tried plugging it into different USB ports, and it still doesnt work. Ive tried going to new phone and detecting it that way, and that wont work. It used to work on and off before, now it just wont work at all. I have windows xp with service pack 2. Please if u have any info on solving my problem please email me or PM me or reply. Thank you
