Green Blocks When Converting With DivxToDVD

I have been trying out the avi to DVD converter called DivxToDVD from VSO. It seems a good program, becasue it doesn't take hours to convert and is simple to use. But when I convert a avi to dvd then burn to a dvd+r/w disc and play it on a hitachi or panasonic during the film it will show lots of green blocks on the screen. Although with other DVD players it will play fine (and will play fine on the pc). I have herd of others with this problem. I have all the correct codec's installed so can anyone help?
