i have everything installed and running but the ps2 is acting completely normal.....i checked the ground and the other wires and everything is intact and clean.....i also checked the clips o make sure they were in properly and securley.......now when i turn on the ps2 it works just fine as it did b4.....all original games work and dvd's also....controllers and memory card also.....i dont beleive i burned the bios disc correcly but when placed in the ps2 i get the red writing that says wrong format disc, screen......what do i do.....btw my test panle came not working so i cant test the clips....but if they were installed worng wouldnt i have a ton more problems

for the price you paid, i'd make them send you a new test panel.

Are you sure the test panel doesn't work? Doy ou have it connected properly, have the right type of power source and have the PS2 turned on?

And it could be the media. Press the square button while booting and you should see a "DMS4 disabled" logo. If you get this, you have it installed correctly and the flash upgrade isn't burnt correctly, or you're using crappy media.

If you don't get this it must be an installation problem. Not sure what to do about your problem. Check for pent pins, use a multimeter if you have to.
