if you have a double layer DVD burner and the right m double layer media then why can't it not be done?

I think it can, but you need a real modchip and your ps2 has to be able to read the burnt double layer media.

basically what sly said... some modchips have problems with dual layer discs, but if yours system and chip can handle it, there is no reason it cant be done.
