I read everywhere that copy a DVD to DVD+R is just not possible. OK, fine, but can someone explain why?

I Shrunk a DVD to the std 4.3Gb size and burnt it to disk. Now, I want to make a copy of that disk and burn it to DVD+R

Possible?

Any disc copy program can copy a copy. It is no longer encrypted so just about any program can copy it.
