How do I figure out which version xbox do I have? I wanna mod my xbox so I can play burned games,Download games, And store Games. Which chips Do you all prefer???

you can go to http://xbox-scene.com/versions_1.php
to find your version to get the correct modchip but if your xbox is fairly new and you don't want to void your warrenty then you should use a softmod which also can copy and play backed up games and play burned games.

The first thing to look for is the video encoder. Do a google search for xbox versions and you'll find some photos. Encoders have names like Coneaxant, Focus.

Go to www.teamxodus.com and download the PDF Iceguide install instructions for the Xenium. Even if you don't plan on buying the Xenium, you read up about the different versions and what must be done.

I justed picked up a v1.5 for $60 and the solderless adapter doesn't work. I need to use the pin header install method for this version :(
