I got a PS2 slimline if i replace the Lid will it work with swap magic 3.3 right now i got it running with straw toothpick and tissueball i want to get around that ...

Yeah, I have a PS2LiD and SM3.3. It works wonders for me. However, you should have ordered them both at the same time (to save some money)

A lot of people are going for the slimtool, but you can't do both kinds of swaps with it. With the PS2Lid you can do the swaps where the PS2 recognizes where you opened the lid (like for codebr, and also the kind where the PS2 doesn't recognize that you opened the lid (like for swap magic)

The choice is really up to you.

I don't have it, but i thought you could just remove the slimtool for loading discs that need to be recognized.

You are right Dragula, you can easily remove the front sensor when switching discs, so that the ps2 thinks its open.
