Is there a way to back up a long (over 3 hours) movie on one DVD-r? I'm using DVD Srink and it compresses the movie over 50%, so result is so pixelated its impossible to watch. Please help! I am reading this forum and not able to find an answer. I know I can break a movie into 2 disk, but I'd like to fit it to one. Is that possible?

I use dvdrebuilder, and cinema craft encoder, for movies that long....cce will cost you about 50 dollars(usd),rebuilder is free.
Its kind of tricky to setup, but once its done, its a one clicker.
Encoding times are alot longer than with dvd shrink(about 4 hours or more)but the results are hard to beat.
Youll find the guides and software at the top of this page.
good luck
