BEST way to mod PSTwo?

I came across this board a couple days ago when searching for information regarding the Flip Top Cover for PSTwo. I've read some topics concerning modding the PSTwo without chips, and I've read about 4 kinds of modding solutions: the flip top cover, the Slim Tool, the Ghost Switch and the Magic Switch. From what I read, I can't decide which would be the best choice. I'm new to the subject of PS2/Two modding, so I don't really know anything about the installation nor am I very familiar with the products themselves. Is there one that requires little to no installation (one that maybe doesn't require taking off the top of the PStwo?), voids ruining the warranty, and can be found cheap, yet stil a reliable and strong product? If it affects the decision, I'm only interested in playing Imports, not really back-ups. Any help is greatly appreciated.
