DVDLoader with modchip

I have a v12 PS2 with a Matrix Infinity chip. All games/DVDs have worked up 'til now.

Did a bit by bit copy of Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and while the game loads, it appears as if it's in PAL mode (though it's in color, not b&w).

I've tried using DVDLoader to boot it but I've been unable to find any good documentation on exactly how to use it. Will I need to get a Swap Magic disc in order to load and play this game? From what I've read, that seems to be the case - as I've tried everything else. Thanks for any help.

no, you don't ever need to use dvd loader with your modchip.
