Hey everyone i am new here so i was hoping you could help me. Heres the deal.. i bought sum dvd-r's and used tmpgenc dvd author i tried makin a menu but it messed up alot n i wasn too good then i decided id just skip the menu n jsut use tda to only burn the movie on the dvd-r. everything burns and i go to play the dvd (by the way all my dvd players support dvd-r i checked) my first two dvd players just say reading disc but it doesnt play then i put it in my xbox and portable dvd player and it works. any ideas on y it wont work on regular dvd players and how i can get it to work

Some standalone players have trouble with dvd-r and dvd+r.Some might like -,some like +/most of them like both.

All the stand alones that I play mine on Like the plus format over the dash format.

Poorer media/burning too fast are the usual culprits. Try slowing it down.

What brand of media are you using and how fast are you burning: Example- sony-4x,burning at 4x.
