Hello:

Hope this can be considered the right place for these questions. I find watching dvds a little more pleasant when there's packaging involved; maybe I'm shallow, but I love taking out a personally designed disc out of a box with great artwork on it, and, for those times when the ladies come over, they too find it much more acceptable than me locating, then blowing the dust off some disc with magic marker scrawled on it.

I never could get the Nero labelmaker to work right, but with coverXP, and the box images from this web site: http://www.cdcovers.cc/dvd_a.php , even my mid-grade HP printer can produce something that looks almost like a new dvd box. Hopefully, you guys can answer:

1) In the US, what is the brand or type of paper that will best resemble the actual dvd paper? (Right now I'm using Kodak Soft Gloss 'Anytime Picture Paper', which seems a bit too thick...)

2)The coverXP template "dvd.keepcase.singlefile" is *almost* the right size for dvd boxes, but the 'front' side is off by about a few tenths of an inch and the 'back' leaves about half an inch of the dvd box visible on standard dvd boxes. How do you correct this? Are there other templates available for coverXP?

3) Most of the time, there is no complete boxcover image available, and you have to make your own or use front, back and spine images. How do use the spine feature of coverXP? (As someone--ahem--gave me this program, I couldn't find any sort of reasonable explanation)

4)And this might sound really stupid, but does anyone know of a site that features dvd spine images along with the usual front and back pics? Or just other good sites that have a lot of downloadable covers?

5)Ooh: and about how many covers can you expect to print with a standard HP printer cartridge?

...well that was a long post. Any help would be appreciated...Thanks.
