I am modding a ps2 with a Maxtor 120gb ide drive and HD loader. How do you backup your games to the hardrive if you need to have the HD loader disc in the drive to boot from the harddrive?
Also any tricks or limitations I should be aware of with this mod?
NOTE: I want to keep this PS2 as original looking as possible, ie no flip tops or new cases.

as long as your putting original games on your hd, you just boot hd loader, then put in the game and load it.

ie copy a game disc to the PS2 HDD, so you can increase the life of the PS2 laser and shorten the loading times for your games.
