HD Loader: Lost memory card(boot)

My friend helped me hook up a HD for my ps2, but I lost my memory card with the boot sequence on it and my friend moved to a different state, so he can't really help me. Can someone tell me what I should do so I can use my HD?

either find another friend with a mod
get a mod yourself
buy hd loader or hd advance

i heard HD advance is better...but the HD mod i have is HD loader...will it work if i buy HD advance?

you would have to reformat your hd if you got hd advance (and lose all the games you have stored on it).
