Now why couldn't you just say I downloaded a movie?? All that naming the movie will bring you is trouble. A couple of things to remember.

1. The net is full of fakes and guess what, you have one!

2. TMD is not a group, it stands for The Movie Depot. The real movie releases are made by groups and then they are brought to TMD and they like to put Tmd-Moviez on them.

3. Always before you download anything, make sure its from the right group and that it doesn't suck (quality wise) http://www.vcdquality.com

Don't ask how to download stuff from vcdquality because you can't. they just give samples.

the tmd just means that it comes from the movie depot even though it doesnt at all, tcf are the real release group.

Just because it says tcf doesnt mean its real. It could be an easy case of a deliberate miss naming of the file by kids or the movie industry.

Also, if you get files from tmd they are a lot less quality that you saw in the jpg's on vcdquality because they are re-encoded for east p2p downloading. The real ones are cd images that are released on irc and usually about 1.2 - 1.4gigs

hawee_,

Either use DC++/Direct Connect or FTP servers. The latter is always the better choice, but the problem is that there are very few "leech" servers publicly available. Try knowing someone with a fast internet connection and a lot of movies :)

And if the FTP choice is no good, use DC++.

Ye a lot of the files end up on Direct Connect early. IRC is still the best choice for movies. I find with private ftp, most of the time you get a useless download speed. As for Direct Connect, it would be the best p2p if you didnt get cut off so much, thats why I like eMule (or eDonkey, whichever you are into!).

I use to download files from ftp until I realised that they were hittin the sharereactor forum much quicker and spreading faster so I dont like ftp much for new movies.

usually with a bad second half of a movie you get a fix for it but if you used kazaa to get it you might as well forget about a fix.
