"what the hell is wrong with my magic 3.1+????

ive just installed a magic 3.1+ which ive checked over.
PS2 v6 US version
first boot:the ps2 didnt recognize no disc at all not even the original.
turned off, opened it and checked all the soldering all over.
second boot:this time the disc tray didnt want to open, after a couple of attempts it opend but it went in by itself, also no disc could be read.
i ve checked it again and for my third time i opened checked everything and turned it on, the trays kind of opens 50% of time and only reads originals.
What could posiibly be happening??????
