I have a pioneer pdr 555 rw. It sets up to record + seem sto record but when I press stop its give sme error messege sayin repair???

I tried to finalise a disc but then it would'nt play???

Could it be a problem with my write laser??

try cleaning the lens with a cd/dvd disk cleaner disk

tried lens cleaner. Did nothing. Used it dry. shall I try it with fluid???

cool bro. Just tried a tdk cdrxg rw disc + it recognised + actually recorded on it. But wo'nt record on it again now on any disc for some reason.
I am thinking of buying the pioneer pdr 609 new for £189 inc vat + delivery.

Tempting haha.

firmwire???? Updates. I've just placed an order for a new pdr 609 .

My old machine recognised a tdk cdrxg rw + actually set up + recorded on it then it would'nt do it again.

Its doing my head in. Plus it still plays so can do a recording on a rw playback on the faulty player back into new cd recorder + make copies.
