Does anyone know the best place to buy dvd+r? I just used a philips dvd+r and backuped NBA Live 2005 (ea sports) on my V4 ps2 and it ran just as good as the original. Is it because it is a philips, or is it more because it is a dvd+r? Because i want to know if other brands like verbatim dvd+r and ritek dvd+r work perfectly also. A link would be extremly helpful. My budget is about 30 dollars.
Heres a few i found

... Personally I've never had good success with Philips DVDs .. It might be my burners (Ricoh and LiteOn) or my players (Sony, LiteOn, GE, Toshiba, Cyberhome, Samsung) .. I only tried 'em twice and had a 33% coaster rate (ughhh) .. However, using RiDATA branded Ritek discs, my coaster rate has only been about 1% ... I like Ritek media ... For the price it's the best stuff out there !! ...

... SuperMediaStore and NewEgg are both first class distributers ...

I found this site which has Ritek Ridata G04 DVD-R's for a good price:
http://www.meritline.com/ritek-ridata-4x-dvd-r-media-branded1.html

My question, if I plan on burning at 1 or 2X for reduced error count, does it matter if I get 4X rated discs versus say, the 8X rated ones?

I just wanted to get a spindle of good discs, and I read a lot of people saying Ritek Ridata G04's are the best, so help me out and lemmme know if the 'speed rating' is a problem.

If you flip through the weekly flyer or go to the online website of any of these dealers - Best Buy, Staples, Newegg, or even Amazon - you will find a good deal. Staples has $20 for 50-packs of Sony, Best Buy has $40 for 100-packs of Fuji, and Newegg always has good deals on Ridata. If you are in the U.S., you have no excuse for not finding a good price on media.
BTW, DVD+R might be better if you can bitset and burn as 'DVD-ROM'. You can't do that with DVD-Rs.
