You would have to use some type of analog converter or something like that. Do a google search and you'll find some info.

or you could..see if your video card has tv in on it or you can by a 'capture' card like a tv tuner card, install it in your pc..connect to your vhs and 'capture' file to hard drive, where you will need some conversion software ie Nero which will convert your file from the vhs normally stored as an AVI file to mpeg2 [dvd]
word of warning..i am new to all this and there are loads of potential problems..but persevre i did and have managed to transfer my old vhs to dvd.

The third tab beside the Afterdawn.com logo is where the guides are if searching doesn't yield results you understand.

The third tab above "Guides" will answer most of the rest.

I have had real good success with my VHS to DVD using the AverMedia video capture card. But there is more to it than just capturing video. If you plan to just convert all your VHS to DVD then contract it out for some business to do it and save your time. But if you want something useful then you need to spend some time capturing and editing. I set up a web page that may help:

good luck

I used a company called Digital Conversions http://convertmymovies.com . The quality was perfect, and they have an online menu designer that lets you customize your title menu.
