Problem of booting USver. GT4 on Modded PS2

I had my PS2 modded years ago in Chinatown so that I could play all different version of games. Everything worked great with no problem until I bought GT4 Last night. I couldn't boot it in my console.

Does anyone have this problem too? Anyway to solve this? Please help.

from what i'v read on the forum looks like ur out of luck b/c they say that chipped ps2's cannot read dual layered disk.. which gt4 is.

Hmm... All chipped PS2s can't read dual layered disk or just some?

If I really want to play GT4, or other dual layered disk in the future, does it mean i have to get an unchipped PS2????? 8(

many of the mod chips can be turned off or put into stealth mode.

with mine I have to hold down the reset button when turning the ps2 on for 2-3 seconds then it will read GT4

Hi Dudes

My friend has a DMS3 modded PS2 & it workx great, ma other friend has an non modded PS2 and it brings always "disc read error"
