Sorry about beating a dead hoarse, but I real dont want to screw up my xbox.
This is what I have:

xbox v1.6
Kernel v. 1.00.5838.01
softmoded to exov v3935

After reading about xboxhdm I think I will use this utility.

Any suggestions, warnings...?
I am going to go buy the HD today. 200gig Western Digital
Thanks in advance.

check the hdd here:

http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list

to make sure that it's lockable, and just read as much as possible so you don't mess it up (you will always have the other hdd but you would have to re-format the other one and redo it like crazy)

Good luck it's not that hard,

(I mean I still unlock and lock them with hdunlock lol)
