I fucked up 3 DVDs already

how do I make the freaking subtitles work with srt2sup?

in the latest DVD I see the background in green and no text even though in srt2sup I made back gray and text white with black contours, and they showed up OK in srt2sup

is there a way to preview the DVD before burning it?
