i am having trouble with the buffer(see other thread) when using dvd decrypter,and am just going through the possibities of what is cauxing it,checked up on the aspi layers,and found this:
Quote:Do NOT install ASPI32.EXE with Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Easy CD Creator 4.x, or with Windows Media Player 7.0. If you have one of these applications (or operating systems), you will be using a different aspi layer that will conflict with the one provided in this file. Use the new ASPI 4.70 driver found under SCSI Software downloads instead.
taken from a link,from "scubapetes web page"
is this just for "exe"
because i have the following on my pc;
wnaspi32dll
aspi32.sys
wnaspi.dll
wowpost.e
can anyone shed any light on this subject
i am trying to narrow the problem down,dont know much about aspi layers etc,have i got the correct version?
running on xp,service pk 2
should i switch to nero aspi layers?,or is that just for nero?
I don't know much about aspi either. I do know that when I run the Nero Infotool, and click on the ASPI tab, it says that "System" ASPI is not installed, only Nero ASPI. So Nero ASPI works, I guess, for any thing that needs ASPI.
