FutureShop in Canada has on sale again this week BENQ DVD media. This time its 100 pack spindle DVD-R and +R for $39.99 until March 3.

That media ROCKS. I purchased from their website 800 of the suckers at $60 per 200, shipping included (a few weeks ago). It is rock solid 8X DAXON (advertised then at 4X but was 8X), no coasters in about 100 burns, burns at 16X, plays on anything, and scores 93+ every time on Nero.

Best buy in the known universe at that price.

Are those +r or -r you use? Also are they inkjet printable?

I thought about trying some benq dvd+r inkjet printables but when I asked about em here on AD nobody answered back so I haven't ordered any yet.

I purchased +R but they also sold -R for the same price. The blanks have a substantial white facing, very attractive, but it is patterned and I suspect not suitable for printing. I just use a marker.

The blanks are more solid, have more mass, than any blanks I have ever used. They have more mass, for example, than Maxell disks with the yellow facing.

I've been useing Ritek Ridata dvd+r's with good results. Thanks for the reply.

Bummer, everybody's out of the printables. One more question. Where is the Benq (Daxon) media made (Japan I hope)?
