Hello All!

Just yesterday I bought a LaCie DVD Burner from the Apple Store. I then downloaded MacTheRipper and went through the whole process only to find out the DVD didn't work in anything (computer, DVD player, Playstation 2). So, I'm going to just start fresh.

My question is, can someone tell me exactly what I need to do and what I need to get in order to start burning DVD's? It would be a big help!
Thanks a lot everyone!~~Zack H.

By the way, I'm using a 600 MHZ PowerPc G3 iBook with 128 MB memory.

OK, I just read the tutorial above and tried to do rip a dvd with MacTheRipper but it said "There Is Not Sufficient Free Space. Please Select A Volume With Sufficient Free Space."

Does this have to do with the DVD?
How do I clear this up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!--Z.H.

Well, many dvd's are bigger than 7 gigabytes. Is there less than that available on your system? You'd need upwards of 12-15 gbs to rip and compress.

Well, I needed more space so I bought an external hard drive today. Now, should I just take all my stuff from my computer and put it on the hard drive to allow for more space to rip films?

Also, how do u delete files that you have put on the external hard drive.

Thanks!

keep your original drive the way it is. Rip your dvd's and compress them on your NEW drive with all the space available.

And I'm sorry to say this, but if you don't know how to simply delete a file, you are in trouble.

to delete a file you drag it to the trash can :-)
