I recently bought some OEM prodisc DVD-R media. They are the 50pks wrapped in blue plastic. When I scan them, they come up as ProDisc F01 which is fine, but they dont work. I cannot burn any of them past 3G, and I tried many different spindles just to make sure I didnt just get a bad one.

So today I go out and pick up a pack of FUJI DVD-R, same thing, a 50pk spindle, on the basis that these are also one of the best. So, I put it in and scan it expecting it to say FUJI, but to my suprise, it says ProDisc F01, I was annoyed to say the least. I then tried one just for the hell of it, it worked no problem.... and another, and another, they work great? .. but they are the same disc?

anyone have any insight on this? I am confused to say the least
