Yeah, the fan is dead, and I can't use original fan or wires anymore. (Don't know why it isn't working, because I checked all fuses and they seem to be ok)

I want to replace original fan with a quiet one. So I took +12V from Network Adapter HDD molex, but the fan is only working when playing HDD-games. When playing from CD or DVD it won't spin. I want it so that fan is working all the time.

So where should I solder +12V wire?

Where did you find it and does it work? Sometimes I play games at night and turn down the sound but I can't turn it down very much or I can't hear the game over the fan. I need a quiet one. Any advice?

Take a look at this web-site:

Solder point1 is +5, and point8 is ground.

I soldered my fan into these points, and it is now spinning with +5V :)

Be very, very careful, and remember this thing is for PS2 V4 version only. I take no responsibility...
