When I try to save a wav file from a movie file, I get a no audio decompressor to decompress file error. I would appreciate any help.

Open the file in GSpot and find out what audio codec it has.
Download and install that codec.
Try again.

when i open it in GSpot it says the codec unknown but it also says codec installed.

Codec-0x00ff(unknown) stat-codecs installed

Is the audio data corrupted or something.
