help...sound cutting out at join after re-author

Ok, so here smy problem

I have an .avi movie in 2 parts. So first i joined the 2 parts with virtualdub. The joined file played perfecty all the way through.

Next i demuxed the AC3 audio with virtual dub. I tested the file, and the audio played all the way through.

Then i used tmpeg to encode the video, tested,and it worked fine.

Finally i used ifoedit to re-author the dvd.

After testing the file it looks and sounds great...but when it gets to the part of the movie where the 2 .avi files were joined, the audio cuts out.

I casnt work out how this can be, when i tested the .ac3 after demuxing, and it played all the way through just fine. Only after reauthoring it stops at the join.

Any help would greatly be aprreciated.
