ive been looking around for a while now and i cant seem to find any. im looking for a device that can record straight off the tv onto cd/dvd as mp4. are there any such devices? (i dont want any "its easier to use a pc capture card" posts- im not interested in that) if anyone has found one please send me a link. thanks.

actually, i was serious about the dream....
but i wasn't, i remember it was mention in a magazine.
