Hi can anyone help please?

I was using nerovisionexpress 2 to burn but the dvds were always out of sync. So I am trying some trial versions of other programmes. I used VSOdivxtodvd to code a downloaded film and then went to burn with CopytoDVD SE. After one second the error message came up with:
unable to start write process
write error at 0(16) code 05 21

I also tried to burn it with CopytoDVD 3 times and my pc crashed each time with the error
an exception OE has occurred at 0028:C2749E10 in vxD--

This was called from 0028:C14E322E in vxD---

Can anyone explain what i am doing wrong? In very simple terms please as i have found it very difficult getting this far!!!
