I am attempting to author a DVD with four episodes of a television show. The video files were in the Xvid format, and I converted them using WinAVI to MPEG-2 files. Next, I imported them into Sony DVD Architect 2, created some menus and burned the DVD. For each video file, the sound starts off in sync, but gradually drifts out of sync. By the end of a 1-hour episode, the audio has drifted about 3 seconds in advance of the video. I have tried resampling the audio to various rates with no luck. Any other ideas? It's not just DVD Architect...I've tried other programs such as Roxio.
