Mpeg2Cut problems, please help

The problem is when I am transferring a DVD to my computer, I do not get any of the sound. I don't know if it's just my recorder or not, but I recently tried taking a disc from my friend's recorder and using DVD Decrypter to send it to my computer, and then used MPEG2CUT and it worked fine when I loaded it up in Vegas 5 and it had sound!

But the problem is with a disc from my recorder, it doesn't have any sound when I do the transfer from DVD Decrypt and then from Mpeg2cut. Is there something that I'm doing wrong for my discs and not for the one's I got from my friend ? Or is it just my recorder ?

I've got a Panasonic DMR-E55 if that rings any bells.
