i have no experiance soldering at all, short of watching it done once in autoshop class, soldering a small hole. sho is it something an amature can do?

Try looking for websites that sell mod-chips and accessories. Most do installations too.

LOL...I was thinking of doing the whole soldering thing as well...
But to be honest, seems like you need to be like a veteran bomb squad tech in order to do it. LOL!

Hell....I was SO going to do the soldering thing, but then someone mentioned Swap Magic, or I think it was called Swap Disk.
So, I have been wanting to try that out, because heard that the soldering of the mod chip is like delicate work.
Anyone have any comment about the swaps?

swaps = fliptop or slide card needed,
you put the original game in, flip the top, put the back up game in.
or
put original game in, use the slide card to jimmy the eject tray (you cant just hit eject), then put the back up game in.
From my understanding of swap discs anyways, i could be wrong, im a hardware only guy :)

Man, just checked the guide out....good looking out dman.
Didn't know that was all to it....for some reason, i find it easier to burn dvds than games, but i have been wanting to try it out....
