I plan to buy a ps2 and get a fliptop, this one:

I know that I'll be able to boot NTSC ps2 backups but I was wondering, if I'll be able to boot NTSC ps1 backups? Would it work? Or is it only possible if I purchase a differnt boot disc, any recommendations?

you will need a PS1 boot cd.

I recomend Breaker Pro.

Can also use PSone game shark version 4 or older can also use PSX-Change 2.0

Breaker Pro would have best reliability

I use Gameshark lite. Works perfectly. I got mine for 6 dollars including shipping on ebay. The only problem is, like every boot disk, is it takes a little while to load.
