Updating Pioneer 106D Firmware

I found what I believe is updated firmware for my Pioneer 106D. When I try to do the upgrade I keep getting "Available target not found"
The 2 DVR's I have the Pioneer-106D and the NEC-3520A
both list the following when I look up the driver info.
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 7/1/2001
Driver Version: 5.1.2535.0
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Publisher

How do i update the drivers? Why are they both the same?
