Hello,

About a month ago, I remember encountering a site that gave illustrated how-to's for making a "homemade" FlipTop for your PS2 using the preexisting cover.

However, after "googling" forever, I still can't find it anymore. I shoul have bookmarked it!

Presently, I actually purchased a F/T but I was going to try and make one out of my OEM cover since it's doing no other good right now.

Thanks!

My PlayStation2:

Version:SCHP-50001/N
Backup Mode: FlipTop Cover (Blue) & SwapMagic 3.3
Media of Choice: Verbatim DVD-R
Software: DVD Decrypter (READ)
Alcohol 12

Just incase you didn't know how to install it,
1. Unplug PS2 and place your PS2 console on a table or flat surface.
2. Remove 90-day warranty sticker located on the back of the PS2 HERE.
3. Turn the PS2 console over face-down on the table.
4. Remove these screw covers and screws based on your version PS2.
5. Set PS2 console face-up, and carefully remove top cover like THIS.
6. The PS2 should now be in front of you as displayed HERE.
7. Unscrew the 4 tiny screws on the CD/DVD drive tray cover and lift it off.
8. Remove the white disc from the tray cover itself and insert it in the Flip-Top lid.
9. Unscrew this screw from retainer plate and remove Memory Card port covers.
10. Re-attach them to Flip-Top Cover and secure retainer plate with its screw.
11. Remove RESET/EJECT harness like THIS and screw it to the Flip-Top Cover.
12. Slowly slide Flip-Top Cover on PS2 making sure NOT to pinch RESET/EJECT wires.
13. Turn PS2 face-down and replace screw covers and screws based on your model.
14. Your PS2 console should now look like THIS- great work and enjoy!.
